40´s: More than just a number.

Phrases such as “Best of life begins at 40”, “pregnancies at 40”, “men and women at 40”, even important birthdates like the Uruguayan journalist and writer Eduardo Galeano author of “Las venas abiertas de America Latina” or deaths like revolutionary and politician Lev Davidovich Bronstein known as León Trotsky in Mexico City at Coyoacán in August 21 1940 are an example that number 40 is present in our lives by means of different demonstrations, proof of it is this end- of- year issue Hypatia 40 which brings information from the trimester October-December 2011.
     With this issue we close the activities for the wonderful year 2011 in which we consolidated several projects of the Consejo de Ciencia y Tecnología del Estado de Morelos (CCyTEM) such as “Itinerant Experience” which besides visiting 7 public and private educational institutions in Cuernavaca, it reached for the municipalities of Jonacatepec, Cuautla and Atlatlahuacan through which 3 thousand 850 people took part in workshops such as “Biodiversity under the magnifying glass” by Claudia Sierra Castillo, “The importance of water plants and fish in aquariums” by Jaime Raúl Bonilla Barbosa and Jorge Luna Figueroa, “Robotics in your School” by Leoncio Aguilar Negrete and “The Soma cube” by Victor Manuel Porcayo Mejía among others. We thank all of you for having come along in this year of scientific pilgrimage.
